Spotlight: Yani Burgos, Christian Contemplative Practice, and Justice
Updated: Apr 23, 2019
This blog is intended to feature community members and leaders doing great work related to the concepts from Changing the World from the Inside Out. If you missed our first spotlights, on Rachie Lewis, Liz Aeschlimann and Sophie Schoenberg, check them out (Rachie, Sophie).
This entry features Yani Burgos. Yani works at Episcopal City Mission, supports the Mystic Soul Project, and is an alumn of Life Together. She got her start in activism through her high school’s Gay Straight Alliance and hasn’t stopped making change since. She is a friend of The IOWA Project, doing complementary work in the Christian community where she works at the intersection of contemplative spiritual practice and social justice.
