The Inside Out Wisdom and Action Project
Jewish spiritual grounding tools for today's social justice leaders.
The IOWA Project is a project of The Kirva Institute. Kirva means closeness, and is the central tenet of our work at The IOWA Project. All year, we’re here to support the work of Kirva; on repairing estrangement and strengthening our connection to one another, to ourselves, to the planet, and to HaShem.
When we forget that we are connected souls, we open ourselves to treating others as less than human.
--Rabbi David Jaffe
We're thrilled to be offering an extended Mussar va'ad/study group, starting February 26th from 7-8:30 PM ET / 4-5:30 PM PT. This course is open to all who have completed at least one Mussar va'ad.
Facilitated by Rabbi Lauren Tuchman, a seasoned IOWA facilitator, this va'ad will allow dedicated Mussar practitioners to go deeper. In addition to ten, live 90-minute sessions, each participant will be matched with a chevrutah or spiritual practice partner for the duration of the study group. Chevrutot will meet on the weeks when the live sessions are not held. In addition to bi-weekly chevrutah meetings and live sessions, a WhatsApp group will be established to allow for communication in-between sessions.
